Some clips of songs I've recorded:

- Sophie (2005)

I recorded this in my basement in the Summer of 2005. As with every song on this page, the lyrics are non-sensical. They're placeholders for notes.
Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Trombone, Vocals - Justin Hook

- Untitled Piece of Trash (2005)

This was part of a short jam session that took place in Fegel's basement / studio. I actually didn't realize a recording existed until just recently.
Keyboards - Jon Fegel, Drums - Geoff Burmeister, Trombone - Justin Hook, Guitar, Misc. Percussion - ?

- We Were Walking (2006)

The guitar, bass and percussion in this song were recorded in the Spring of my freshman year. Here are some secrets about it: The bass is actually just my guitar with an octave filter, the percussion is one of those plastic handclap things, which I got in my stocking one Christmas. The lyrics were added in the Fall. Before the lyrics were added, the song was entiteld "Symphony for the Ladies," the ladies being the residents of 1313B in Warren Towers. Again, the lyrics mean nothing.
Acoustic Guitar, Bass (*wink*), Percussion, Vocals - Justin Hook

- A Piece for Pop Cans (New! 03.2007)

This is a piece of the musique concrète genre, created for MU412 at Boston University. It was created only using the sounds of a can of pop. In this case, Diet Ginger-Ale (because that's what was on sale at Shaw's.) It's recorded very quiet, so turn it up loud. Also, it's meant to be listened to with headphones. It's kind of important.
Pop Cans, Slurp, Glurp, Burp - Justin Hook

- War of this World (New! 05.2007)

This is a piece of the musique concrète genre, created for MU412 at Boston University. This was my final project, which makes use of a variety of sound sources, including me flicking my own cheek, based loosely around an interpretation of Orson Welles' War of the Worlds radio brodcast.
Most Everything - Justin Hook, Featuring Samples From - Orson Welles, Gorillaz.
